When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!

What We’re Looking For

Strong, dedicated, and passionate performers to bring the undersea world of Bikini Bottom to life! Outstanding acting, vocal skills, ability to learn harmony and blend with an ensemble, and comfort with dancing or stage movement are required for all roles. Cast must be able to learn music, dialogue, and movement/choreography quickly and independently, coming to rehearsals well-prepared. We are casting adult performers and young adults, aged 16+. 

We are casting for 10 principal roles, 7 supporting roles, and a heavily featured (limited) ensemble. Diversity is one of the main themes of The SpongeBob Musical, so we are looking to celebrate diversity and welcome performers of every body type, race, gender, age (16+), and experience level. That’s what an ocean habitat looks like, that’s how our world is, and that’s the Bikini Bottom way! Part of StageWorks’ mission includes a focus on fostering a positive atmosphere and providing a great experience for our entire cast and crew, so we are also looking for performers who will support this mission!
